An early start for Una, Ian and Tom on the road from Ballycastle at 6 am and down to Co Armagh to visit the wonderful pupils and staff of Aughnacloy Primary School.
We had an assembly hall full of around 200 excited children and teachers, all gathered to learn about Pulmonary Fibrosis and to hear Pete the Puffling’s Brave Adventure. Tom narrated the story, Una gave Pete (played brilliantly by Ian!) a good scolding for being naughty, and Miss Tilly (headmistress) along with other staff members jumped right into character. It was such a heart-warming morning and everyone truly threw themselves into the fun. 💛
As always, the kids kept us on our toes during question time — from the suggestion that “we only have one lung” to the idea that our chosen teachers might not have been quite right for the roles! 😂
A huge and heartfelt thank you to Emily Crozier’s husband Andy and their family for the incredibly generous £2,000 donation. Aughnacloy Primary has chosen PFNI as their charity for the year, and we are so grateful for their support. 💙
What a day, full of learning, laughter and kindness. 🌟
