What we doRespite Services

We have two welcoming accommodation options for those in need of a restorative break. Puffin Lodge is a seasonal mobile home located on a scenic sea-front site at Causeway Coast Holiday Park in Ballycastle. It is available exclusively for our members from March 1st to early December. Inis Ceithleann is a charming cottage in Lough Erne Golf Resort, Enniskillen and is available year-round, offering a tranquil space for respite. Both provide a perfect getaway for families and carers seeking quality time together or a break from daily responsibilities.

Terms & Conditions

Pulmonary Fibrosis NI is delighted to be able to offer respite to our members, who have pulmonary fibrosis and for their carers at Puffin Lodge (Ballycastle) and Inis Ceithleann Retreat (Enniskillen).  Please download the appropriate booking form at the links below, and on completion, email this form to claredonohoe.pfni@gmail.com (Coordinator), OR pulmonaryfibrosisni@gmail.com (Tom McMillan, Chair) OR una.pfni@gmail.com (Trustee) and you will be contacted by a Trustee of PFNI or the Co-ordinator to confirm your booking.  You will then be contacted by our Treasurer to make arrangements for payment.

Puffin Lodge came about following a desire by pulmonary fibrosis sufferers and their families in Northern Ireland, who asked for a place where they could have a break and make memories, without the problems associated with travel abroad. Puffin Lodge is located on the beautiful North Coast at Causeway Coast Holiday Park, Clare Road, Ballycastle and is the only respite facility for pulmonary fibrosis sufferers and their families in Ireland. Puffin Lodge is a Willerby Castleton, two-bedroom Static Mobile Home.

It is owned by PFNI and is a respite for people suffering from pulmonary fibrosis and their carer. Unfortunately it cannot be used as a holiday retreat for families.

The open plan living area is ideal for sharing with loved ones and unwind with family and friends. It also has a fixed dinette which is ideal for to sit and enjoy a good book, or to read a newspaper. The main bedroom with TV and its large bed, en-suite with shower provides a perfect rest area; the second bedroom has two single adult beds.

There is also a separate bathroom and shower. The kitchen is fully fitted, and the lounge has a large seating area, TV, radio, and coffee table. Outside there is a large decking area with patio furniture. There is WIFI throughout Puffin Lodge, internet television and much more. The on-site clubhouse, swimming pool, bar, bistro, and shop are a mere stroll away and free to use for Puffin Lodge guests.

Puffin Lodge is a mobile home and is available only for our members to book for themselves and their families to get some valuable precious time with each other or to simply get some time away from caring responsibilities. Located at Causeway Coast Holiday, Ballycastle we have secured a 1st March until early December round lease on a sea-front site.
