We were delighted to welcome Patricia Hutchinson from Northern Ireland Hospice for a highly engaging and informative session on relaxation techniques for our pulmonary fibrosis members, patients and carers.
The session explored the importance of relaxation and the many benefits it can bring, including managing anxiety and stress, helping with fatigue, alleviating nausea and vomiting, supporting pain management, reducing breathlessness, and improving overall quality of life. Importantly, it also highlighted how relaxation can enhance general well-being and provide a valuable sense of calm.
Members had the opportunity to experience a range of relaxation and mindfulness techniques and to appreciate the importance of taking time for themselves, something that can often be overlooked when living with or caring for someone with a long-term condition.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Patricia and Northern Ireland Hospice for her continued support of Pulmonary Fibrosis NI. It was a truly valuable session and greatly appreciated by all who attended.
