Fay Coffey (Trustee), Ian Simpson (Trustee) and Clare Donohoe (Co-ordinator) attended ‘Don’t Hold your Breath’ event at The Millbrook Lodge Hotel on 15th January 2026. This event was hosted by Mid Down UFU. The audience was provided with insightful information from Mr Peter Howard from Boehringer Ingelheim and Dr Jillian Johnston from the Public Health Agency on emerging livestock vs human lung health risks on the farm, with a specific focus on Bovine TB. There was an expert panel Q&A session as well as respiratory products and an update on CPR. A raffle on the night raised donations for ‘first Farmer on Scene’ a new volunteer emergency medic led Agri First Aid Course, and PFNI donated 5 copies of ‘Pete the Puffling’s Brave Adventure’ as raffle prizes on the night. Karen Diamond from Northern Music Therapy provided all present with a highly energetic singing experience that the audience all participated in and thoroughly enjoyed. PFNI had a stand there and spoke with many of the attendees sharing information on Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis and the work of PFNI. We also networked with other relevant agencies such as HSENI.
