Nurse Pat Gorman – Nurse of the year awards

Many patients who were cared for by Irish nurse Pat Gorman have been reunited with her in Belfast, just before she won a prestigious nursing award.

Gorman, who has worked at the Pulmonary Fibrosis NI charity for the past number of years, was nominated for the Nurse of the Year Award by her patients.

At a special event in Belfast, the patients were reunited with Pat and presented her with a bouquet of flowers.

Pat said it was “amazing” to be able to spend time with her patients again and that she was “humbled” by their nominations.

She added that she was looking forward to continuing to care for Pulmonary Fibrosis patients in the future.
