Una McMillan (PFNI Trustee) and Tom McMillan (PFNI Chair and Trustee) were delighted to be at Queen’s University Belfast today, kindly invited by Dr Mark Dornan, to speak with qualified respiratory nurses from across Northern Ireland.
We talked openly about what it is really like to live with pulmonary fibrosis, the everyday challenges patients face, and the vital work of Pulmonary Fibrosis Northern Ireland in supporting patients, carers, and families.
This is the third year in a row we’ve been invited to speak, and it is always a pleasure and a privilege to meet such dedicated professionals. We were genuinely touched to receive several lovely compliments from the nurses afterwards about our presentation and the work of our wonderful charity.
Opportunities like this matter. Education, awareness, and shared understanding help improve care, and ensure patient voices are always at the heart of this.
