Bridie Teague and her son Ciarán Teague, presenting a cheque for €1,210 to Pulmonary Fibrosis NI in memory of her late husband, Bart Teague, following celebrations for her 80th birthday.
Pulmonary Fibrosis NI was deeply honoured to receive a generous donation of €1,210 from Bridie Teague, presented in loving memory of her late husband, Bart Teague (RIP).
The cheque was formally presented by Bridie and Ciarán Teague to Clare Donohoe, Co-ordinator of Pulmonary Fibrosis NI, following the joyful celebration of Bridie’s recent 80th birthday. The milestone occasion was marked by a gathering of her children, extended family, friends, and neighbours, who contributed so generously to the collection.
Speaking at the presentation, Bridie expressed her heartfelt gratitude:
“I would like to sincerely thank everyone who celebrated with me and donated so generously in memory of Bart. Your kindness and support mean so much to our family and to others affected by this illness.”
Clare Donohoe on behalf of Pulmonary Fibrosis NI also extended her sincere thanks:
“We are incredibly grateful to Bridie and the Teague family, and to all who contributed to this wonderful donation. It is a touching tribute to Bart’s memory and will make a meaningful difference in supporting those living with pulmonary fibrosis across Northern Ireland, and particularly in providing patients and families affected by pulmonary fibrosis with much needed respite at our wonderful caravan, Puffin Lodge in Ballycastle, and Inis Ceithleann Retreat at the Lough Erne Golf Resort, Enniskillen.”
Pulmonary fibrosis is a serious and progressive lung condition that causes scarring of the lungs, making it increasingly difficult to breathe. It affects thousands of people across the UK and Ireland, often with life-changing consequences for patients and their families.
Pulmonary Fibrosis NI is a local charity dedicated to providing support, raising awareness, and advocating for improved care and services for those affected by the condition. The organisation works closely with patients, carers, healthcare professionals, and the wider community to ensure no one faces pulmonary fibrosis alone.
This donation will contribute directly to the charity’s ongoing work, helping to fund support services, awareness campaigns, and vital resources for patients and their families.
Pulmonary Fibrosis NI once again extends its heartfelt thanks to Bridie Teague and everyone who contributed so generously in memory of Bart Teague.
